This year we are delighted to share Christmas with you in a concrete way by posting recordings of First and Second Vespers, Christmas Matins and the Midnight and Dawn Solemn Masses. The liturgical tension has been building slowly but steadily in the monastery. The antiphons get more complex week by week and crescendo with the O-antiphons. Although our fast continues throughout Advent, in the O-antiphon week, following an ancient monastic tradition, we have a special glass of Vinsanto each night after Vespers, heightening even more the sense of joy to come. The Church and Refectory combined help us to live the truth of our Faith in body and spirit. We assure all the friends and family of the monastery in Norcia our prayers.
