In the Middle Ages monasteries were endowed by kings, supported by noble families, and assisted by the offerings of the faithful. We need the same help today: fellow workers in this great adventure of re-founding monastic life at the Birthplace of St. Benedict.

Some of our friends give a one-time gift. Many of our benefactors make a donation every now and then, as the occasion presents itself. Some make a donation every month, which is especially helpful for the day-to-day operation of the monastery.

There are widows who give their widow’s mite out of their poverty. There are wealthy people who, like good stewards, give back to God out of the abundance He has given them. The majority of our benefactors are ordinary people, with ordinary means, who display extraordinary generosity when it comes to the things of God.
